WORD + TABLE
WHAT TO EXPECT
Our worship gathering is called Word and Table. It happens every Sunday at 10am at 705 Main St. East (formerly St. Peter’s Anglican) on the corner of Main and St. Clair. It’s a time of singing, prayer, teaching, discussion, and communion. Think of it as a weekly reset: a time to be reminded of the Good News of Jesus. Other things to note:
TEACHING: Our sermons are family-friendly, and normally last about 25-35 minutes. We usually leave time for discussion and Q and A after. The aim of our teaching is to apply the Good News of Jesus to all of life.
MUSIC: Our songs are neither “traditional” nor “modern”. We’re SO over the worship wars. It’s less important whether a song is new or old, popular or unknown; it’s way more important that we can sing it authentically, to the glory of God.
COMMUNION: Everyone who wishes may join our Communion celebration. The bread and juice we share signifies we’ve put our hope in what Jesus accomplished through His bodily suffering and shed blood. No one will stop you from coming forward if you choose to; no one will force you to come forward if you choose not to. With parents’ permission, those children who also wish to show their faith in Jesus are welcome to participate in Communion.
KIDSPACE: Pre-school aged kids are invited (though not required) into our KidSpace program during the sermon, for a Bible-based lesson and activities. For more info on how we include kids in Word and Table, click here.
