FAITH
FAMILIES
In Benediction Church, the irreducible expression of belonging is in our Faith Families. These are intentional, missional, mixed groups in which we commit to doing life together. Each Faith Family is unique, yet each has shared rhythms.
One is the irregular rhythm of showing up in a crisis with food and support, it’s also going for walks, kids playdates, shopping trips, help with repairs, moving etc. These unplanned gatherings are how we practice life-on-life-on-life community.
Another is the regular rhythm of gathering a couple of times a month around a table to share a meal with one another (and guests). It’s good food and hanging out. It’s stories and playing and prayer and movies and close friends and new faces. It’s showing up, even when life is busy, and practicing the way of Jesus together.
If Benediction is your home church (or is likely to be), we hope you’ll commit to doing life within a Faith Family. There’s simply no better way to experience belonging with us.
Ready to begin? We get what it’s like to feel “new”. As a safe, comfortable first step, please consider simply joining us for dinner. It’s usually Sunday at 5pm and there’s probably one not too far from you. We’ll help you find one if you contact us.
